Did you have any prior development or coding experience? I have been working in the IT field for over 10 years. I have experience programming for Android on Objective-C, C ++, Delphi. We are now focused on developing and maintaining applications to work with different types of CRM systems. Except for Business Card Reader applications, we are working on Call Tracker and Talk2Task apps.
What was the most challenging aspect of developing a mobile app? Speaking of Business Card Reader for Bitrix24 CRM, the most challenging aspect of developing was the quite difficult structure of API requests of Bitrix24 CRM. But we managed to adjust our application to the requirements of this CRM.
Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them. I adore Shazam. Since I listen to a lot of different music, this app helps me expand my playlist with cool tracks.
How long have you been working on this app? Since 2015. We started working on several CRM systems (including Bitrix24), now Business Card Reader is available for more than 25 different ones.
What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?
First of all, we wanted to save the client’s time when adding contacts or leads to CRM. We strived to ensure automatic business card recognition and to exclude manual entry of all data from cards. Plus, it’s a cool modern feature when you are given a business card, you instantly scan it, and the contact gets into the CRM faster than a paper business card in your pocket 🙂
In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app. There are no complete analogs for digitizing business cards and entering data into Bitrix24 CRM. And if we talk about the typical applications for scanning business cards, then our app guarantees precise conversion and maximum security of data, ability to add text and voice notes for each business card.
